KKCF Event Coordinators

KKCF is looking for wonderful people with creativity and passion to join our volunteer team as Fundraising and Event Coordinators.  The successful candidates will work closely with our Fundraising Manager to run exciting and varied events.  Positions are available for a term of six months with a possibility of future work.  Please note these positions are voluntary.

Roles available

  •  Two Major Event Coordinators each responsible for one of these KKCF events
  1.  KKCF Dance May 2016 (most details are in place)
  2. Art Exhibition Sept/Oct 2016 (venue and other details to be determined)

 

  • Two Hosted Event Coordinators working together to assist manage events run by others

Roles and Responsibilities

Major Event Coordinators

  • Lead and manage the fundraising event including sourcing a venue, entertainment, refreshments, etc.
  • Oversee and engage volunteers to make the event a success. 
  • Working with the team, identify and secure corporate sponsorship opportunities.
  • Plan and implement promotion of the event.
  • Create briefs for print design.
  • Manage social media posts before, during and after the event.
  • Organise ticketing, event program, decorations, prizes and fundraising activities.
  • Trouble-shooting on the day of the event.
  • Attend to financial reporting and maintain budgets.
  • Send thank you certificates to sponsors and volunteers.
  • Debrief with volunteers and conduct online survey of guests for their feedback.

Hosted Event Coordinators

  • Create information package for people to develop and host events.
  • Provide adequate support and materials for hosts.
  • Be the hosts’ first point of contact and manage requests.
  • Ensure that events are appropriate and adequately represent the views of KKCF.
  • Create briefs for print design.
  • Support host to complete financial reporting on the event
  • Debrief following the event and ask hosts to complete survey for their feedback.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

  • Fundraising and/or event planning experience and organisational skills
  • Ability to work with a team and to delegate well
  • Creative techniques and problem solving skills
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage participation of volunteer staff
  • Commitment to a high level of customer service
