Opening of St Anthony'sBoys' Home
KKCF officially opened St Anthony's Boys' Home in Kegalle Sri Lanka on 4th July 2008. This was a great day as it would also have been Kathleen Keegel's 85th birthday.

We celebrated the opening with a Mass which was attended by Bishop Cletus Perera, along with a distinguished 90yr old Buddhist monk and many of the local folk. This was a coming together of people to help the children of the area.
Olivia and Fred were joined by Dawn Pereira from Australia (Olivia's sister) to welcome our first child into the home. Sivakumar is a 7 year old Tamil boy.
Although initially shy, Sivakumar has shown that he is very clever and is responding well. They are teaching him English and he has attended Sunday school with his teacher. He is an abandoned child who hasn't been to school for over two years. He has three older sisters and two older brothers. He has arrived at our Home with only a towel and a toothbrush in a plastic bag but now has loving environment in which to be nurtured.
